The CAPACity initiative, part of CCNY’s Office for Experiential Learning (OEL), aims to support students from all schools and divisions in creating career pathways and exploring interests to prepare for the workforce. In 2023, OEL received a five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education to support the initiative and its associated activities.

The program collaborates with three CCNY divisions—the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership, the Division of Humanities and the Arts, and the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture—seeking to assist over 5,000 students across five years. The initiative integrates social, academic, and career services from the earliest stages of students’ college experience to streamline support in alignment with OEL’s goals.
