    WELCOME Program!

    The WELCOME program helps first-year students at CCNY transition into college by placing them in learning communities with 25 peers. These communities offer support through small class sizes, academic advising, peer mentorship, and various student services. Students from all majors are welcome to participate!

What is the WELCOME program?

WELCOME is a learning communities program designed to support first-year students during their transition into college. Students selected for WELCOME enroll in three foundational courses together with a cohort of 25 students, giving them a unique opportunity to build connections with their peers and instructors early on in their college career. Students also benefit from proactive academic advising, peer mentorship, and additional student support services. All students who sign up for WELCOME receive a $90 OMNY card, regardless of selection. Enroll in WELCOME today!
