    WELCOME Program!

    The WELCOME program helps first-year students at CCNY transition into college by placing them in learning communities with 25 peers. These communities offer support through small class sizes, academic advising, peer mentorship, and various student services. Students from all majors are welcome to participate!

More About the Program

WELCOME is a research program designed to support first-year students during their transition into college. Students who are selected for the program enroll in three foundational courses with a cohort of 25 peers, giving students a unique opportunity to build connections with others early on in their college career. Students also benefit from proactive academic advising, peer mentorship, and additional student support services. All students who sign up for WELCOME receive a $90 OMNY card, regardless of selection!

The WELCOME program has given me a steady and comfortable pathway towards my ongoing college career! The ability to form peer connections amongst my four courses, have a peer mentor, supportive professors, and access to multiple resources provides WELCOME students like myself with the opportunity to create their new lives at CCNY and beyond.
